A race for everyone
Stockholm SwimRun is an event which takes participants through forests, lakes and the sea around Norra Djurgården, Haga, Ulriksdal and Bergshamra in the centre of Stockholm.
It puts teams to the test with a full distance of 23 km trail run and a 4.1 km open water swim, or a sprint distance of 7 km trail run and 1 km open water swim.
Competing in and training for SwimRun events is growing in popularity every year for both professional and amateur athletes alike who are discovering the pleasure and challenge of combining running and swimming.
The competition offers both elite and recreational athletes from all countries around Europe and the globe, the opportunity to test themselves in the midst of one of the world's most beautiful capital cities. The event takes place on Saturday, June 10th 2017 and starts near Stockholm University.
The course is very diverse with 10 sections of swimming covering 4 100 meters in open water and 11 sections of running across trails, dirt roads, the waterfront, over islands and rocky outcrops, totaling 23 000 meters.
